Prior to Belmont: Led Pendleton County High School to State Tournament for the first time since 1971 ... Averaged 16.6 points and eight rebounds per game and shot 62 percent from the floor as a senior …Channel 6 Player of the Year ... All-State Second-Team selection for Lexington Herald-Leader and Louisville Courier Journal ... AP All-State Third-Team ... Member of first PCHS team to play at historic Rupp Arena … First PCHS representative in Kentucky vs. Ohio All-Stars game, scoring four points and grabbing four rebounds … Tabbed third-team All-State as a senior … KABC 10th Region Player of the Year … Selected 38th District MVP … Recorded over 1,300 career points … Also played varsity golf, winning two consecutive Ninth Region team championships … Prepped for Buddy Biggs at Pendleton County.
