NASHVILLE, Tenn. –Senior cross country runner Jessica King (Fishers, Indiana) and freshman men's soccer player Matteo Bennati (Genova, Italy) have been named Trane Belmont Student-Athletes of the Month for November.
King has had an outstanding senior season for the Belmont women's cross country team. The Fishers, Indiana native was the team's top finisher in four races and earned All-OVC honors for her 11th place finish at the conference championship.
Bennati had a highly successful first season as a Bruin. The Genova, Italy native led the team with three goals, seven points, and 12 shots on goal. For his efforts, he was named Horizon League Freshman of the Year and earned a spot on the All-Newcomer team.
Belmont University Athletics Student-Athlete of the Month honorees are based on the following criteria:
