Kate Barnett joined the Belmont Athletic Operations staff in 2011 as a graduate assistant. Barnett earned a B.A. in Sport Management and Business Administration from Bluffton University in Bluffton, Ohio and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Sport Administration. While at Bluffton, Barnett was a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and a three year letter winner in volleyball. She was the recipient of the NCAA Division III Ethnic Minority and Women’s Internship Grant, which allowed her to serve a year as an associate athletic director and assistant volleyball coach at Ripon College in Ripon, Wisc. While at Belmont, Barnett has served as a graduate in volleyball operations for one year and next fall, will begin her second year in operations. In May 2013, the North Bloomfield, Ohio, native will graduate from Belmont’s MSA program.
