MONTGOMERY, Ala. - - Belmont Basketball completes a two game road swing in Alabama Monday night at Alabama State.
The Bruins turned in another complete performance Saturday in defeating Troy, 98-63. Senior Jordan Campbell scored a team-high 15 points as Belmont used a 33-5 first half run to seize control.
Sophomore Trevor Noack is the latest in a long line of Bruin forwards with toughness and shooting ability. The Keller, Texas native has scored at least seven points in five games this season sharing playing time with Brandon Baker. Noack has made 11 three-pointers this season and had a career-high eight rebounds Dec. 16 vs. Kennesaw State.
Belmont head coach Rick Byrd has utilized his deep and talented bench from the outset, and it has reaped major dividends. The Bruins have 10 players averaging double figure minutes, with an 11th player (Blake Jenkins) averaging 9.8 minutes per game. No Bruin ranks in the Top 30 in the Atlantic Sun in minutes played per game.
Belmont and Alabama State have met once before. The Bruins won 78-42 in Nashville last November.
