Men's Basketball Faces Jacksonville Thursday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - - Belmont Basketball visits Jacksonville Thursday night for the first of two games in the Sunshine State.

Belmont defeated Stetson, 82-64, Jan. 30 for head coach Rick Byrd's 600th career victory. Guards Drew Hanlen and Ian Clark led four Bruins in double figures with 14 points each.

Senior Jordan Campbell has enjoyed a stellar final season in a Bruin uniform. After bursting on the scene as a freshman in 2008, the Indianapolis, Ind. has produced on both ends of the floor this year. Campbell leads the Atlantic Sun in three-point field goal percentage and ranks ninth in steals per game.

Belmont head coach Rick Byrd has utilized his deep and talented bench from the outset, and it has reaped major dividends. The Bruins have 11 players averaging double figure minutes, with a 12th player (Adam Barnes) having seen action in 21 games.

The Bruins defeated Jacksonville, 81-50, Jan. 10 in Nashville.
