Belmont-TCU Game Preview

FORT WORTH, Texas - - Belmont University men's basketball returns to action Wednesday at No. 23 TCU.

The Bruins dropped a 74-66 decision to Nashville neighbor Lipscomb Monday night. Junior Dylan Windler (Indianapolis, Ind.) had 13 points and 11 rebounds for Belmont, which lost for just the seventh time in its last 100 home games.

Belmont senior Austin Luke is a native of Rowlett, Texas. Four of Luke's high school teammates from Rowlett High School went on to play NCAA Division I basketball (Jeffrey Carroll - Oklahoma State, Nathan Hawkins - Nebraska/UT Arlington, Ridge Shipley - Cal Poly, Kendal Harris - Texas).
 
Luke is not the only Belmont tie to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. 2013 Belmont graduate Trevor Noack hails from Keller, Texas and played at Keller Central High School.
 
ESPN college basketball analyst and Dallas-Fort Worth resident Fran Fraschilla has been a Belmont advocate for years. Fraschilla called Belmont's victory at North Carolina (11/17/13).
 
Belmont has faced a Jamie Dixon-coached team on one prior occasion: the Bruins dropped a 74-60 decision at then-No. 4 Pitt (11/25/08).

This marks the first meeting between Belmont and TCU.

Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on Fox Sports Southwest Plus, and will be carried by Fox Sports Tennessee, Fox Sports South and the Fox Sports Go app (Check your local listings).
