College Park, Md. – Former Belmont golfer Brenton Flynn has qualified for this week's Nationwide Tour event, the Melwood Prince George's County Open Presented by Under Armour, at the University of Maryland Golf Course in College Park, Maryland. The Nationwide Tour is the top developmental tour for the PGA Tour.

Flynn, who graduated in 2006 from Belmont, carded a 67 in Monday's qualifying round held at Old South Country Club in Lothian, Maryland. The score earned him co-medalist honors and a spot in his first Nationwide Tour event.
