Men's Golf Places 13th at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate
PINEHURST, N.C. – The Belmont men's golf team finished in 13th place at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate held this weekend at Pinehurst #6 in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
Belmont shot a team score of 305 in Sunday's final round to move up one spot to 13th place with a 54-hole score of 919. The tournament champion was UNC-Wilmington, who finished at 873.
The Bruins had two golfers among the top-50. Senior Dan Smith tied for 30th place after posting a 54-hole score of 224. Sophomore Elliott Wickenden tied for 45th place with a three round score of 228. Other Belmont scores included: Ben Simpson (T-60th, 233), Max Markley (T-66th, 235), and Logan Hance (T-80th, 242).
The men's golf team now has a couple weeks off before returning to the course on March 28-29 at the Grub Mart Intercollegiate in Jacksonville, AL.
