Men's Golf Finishes 13th at the Mizzou Intercollegiate
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Belmont men's golf team finished in 13th place at this week's Mizzou Intercollegiate held Monday and Tuesday at The Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia, Missouri.
Belmont carded a team score of 308 in Tuesday's final round to move up one spot to 13th place and a 54-hole score of 952. Host Missouri won the team title, finishing the tournament with a score of 900.
Two Bruins finished among the top-30. Freshman Max Markley shot a 74 on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 16th place at 232. Fellow freshman Ben Simpson carded a 76 in the final round to tie for 23rd at 234. Other Belmont scores from the tournament included: Dan Smith (T-60th, 241), Elliott Wickenden (72nd, 248), and Logan Hance (73rd, 249).
The men's golf team is back in action in two weeks on April 18-20 as they will play in the Atlantic Sun Championship in Braselton, Georgia.
