Men's Golf Stands 15th after Day One of the UALR First Tee Classic

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The Belmont men's golf team stands in 15th place after day one of the UALR First Tee Classic held Monday at Chenal Country Club in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The Bruins stand in 15th place after shooting rounds of 309 and 313 for the 36-hole total of 622.  Southeastern Louisiana leads the event with a mark of 583.

Belmont is led individually by freshman Ted Moon.  Moon is tied for 14th place after carding a 149 (74-75) on day one.  Other Belmont scores from Monday include: Ben Simpson (T-61st, 156), Elliott Wickenden (T-70th, 158), Carson Ward (77th, 159), and Chris Thurman (T-84th, 163).  

The third and final round will begin Tuesday morning at 8:00am.
