Men's Golf Finishes 16th at the UALR First Tee Classic

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The Belmont men's golf team finished in 16th place at this week's UALR First Tee Classic held at Chenal Country Club in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The Bruins shot a team score of 320 in Tuesday's final round to finish in 16th place with a 54-hole mark of 942.  Southeastern Louisiana won the team title with a score of 887.

Freshman Ted Moon led Belmont as he tied for eighth place with a score of 223.  It was his third top-10 finish of the season.  Other Belmont scores from the tournament included: sophomore Ben Simpson (T-69th, 238), junior Elliott Wickenden (T-72nd, 239), freshmanCarson Ward (T-78th, 242), and freshman Chris Thurman (T-81st, 247).

The men's golf team will eb back in action next Monday and Tuesday, April 2-3, at the Red Wolves Intercollegiate in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
