PINEHURST, N.C. – The Belmont men's golf team finished in ninth place at this weekend's Pinehurst Intercollegiate held at the Pinehurst #8 Course in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
In Saturday's final round, Belmont shot a team score of 308 to finish in ninth place with a 54-hole mark of 932. Ball State won the team championship with a score of 882, while Old Dominion and Elon tied for second at 889. Elon's William Harwood took home medalist honors with a 216.
The Bruins had two golfers finish among the top-40. Freshman Nate Thomson tied for 29th place at 230 after carding a final round 80. Redshirt freshman Win Temple shot a two-over par 73 to finish in a tie for 37th place at 233.
Sophomore Parker Buck competed as an individual and finished in 66th place at 243.
The men's golf team is back in action next weekend as they compete at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate, March 19-21, in Sevierville, Tennessee.
