MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. – The Belmont men's golf team slipped to 10th place after the second round of the OVC Men's Golf Championship held Tuesday on the Fighting Joe Course at the RTJ Trail at The Shoals in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.

After fog caused a 40 minute delay to the start of the second round, Belmont hit the course ready to rebound from their play on Monday.  However, the team struggled throughout Tuesday's play, inconsistent from tee to green.  BU finished the day with a score of 305, which put them in 10th place at 610.  Eastern Kentucky has the team lead at 569, with SIUE in second at 571.

Leading the way once again for the Bruins was sophomore Daniel Booker.  The Dyersburg, Tennessee native fired a one-over par 73 to finish the second round in a tie for 22nd place at 147.  He is 12 shots behind individual leader, Charles Seals of Tennessee Tech (135).  In his round, Booker had three birdies, two bogeys, and a tough double bogey on the 18th hole.

Freshman Nate Thomson and redshirt junior Logan Matthews are both tied for 44th place at 154.  Thomson carded a six over 78, while Logan posted a 76.

Redshirt freshman Win Temple is in 46th place at 155, while fellow freshman McCullough Pickens shot a 78 to finish the day in 48th place at 158.

The third and final round is set to begin Wednesday morning at 8:00am.  Belmont will tee off with Eastern Illinois from 8:00-8:40am from the first hole.
