CORDOVA, Tenn. – The Belmont men's golf team stands in ninth place after day one of the Memphis Intercollegiate held Monday at Colonial Country Club in Cordova, Tennessee.
On a day that saw the second round delayed for an hour due to lightning, the Bruins posted rounds of 305 and 291 for a 596 total, good for ninth place. Little Rock and MTSU have the team lead at 577.
One Belmont golfer is among the top-20 after 36 holes. Sophomore Nate Thomson is tied for 17th place after shooting rounds of 73 and 72 for a two round score of 145. He is seven shots behind individual leader Hunter Richardson of UT-Martin.
Senior Logan Matthews and junior Daniel Booker are tied for 31st place after posting a 150 score of 36 holes. Freshman Jack Uselton is tied for 38th place at 151, while fellow freshman Evan Davis is tied for 72nd place at 162.
Freshman Bogle LaRue is competing as an individual and is tied for 66th at 160.
