Tough Day at Greystone

DICKSON, Tenn. – The Belmont men's golf team is in eighth place after 36 holes of the APSU Intercollegiate held Monday at Greystone Golf Course in Dickson, Tennessee.

Belmont carded rounds of 303 and 300 on Monday to finish the day in eighth place at 603.  Murray State has the team lead at 579, while UT-Martin is second at 584.

Two Bruins are among the top-25 after day one.  Sophomore Nate Thomson posted rounds of 73 and 72 to finish the day in a tie for seventh place at 145.  He is six shots behind individual leader, Ryan Knop of Auburn, who stands at 139.   Junior Daniel Booker is tied for 25th place at 149 as he shot rounds of 74 and 75. 

Other Belmont scores from day one: senior Logan Matthews (T-47, 154), sophomore McCullough Pickens (T-57, 156), and freshman Jack Uselton (T-70, 162).

Three Bruins are competing as individuals: freshman Evan Davis (T-47, 154), freshman Bogle LaRue (T-55, 155), and sophomore Win Temple (T-66, 159).
