UPDATE -- Due to heavy rains in the Atlanta area, the Pinetree Intercollegiate has been cut to a 36-hole event with 18 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. First round play begins Monday afternoon at 12:00 noon CT.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont men's golf team returns to competition this Monday and Tuesday at the Pinetree Intercollegiate at Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw, Georgia.
The Bruins enters this week's event after finishing eighth at last week's APSU Intercollegiate. Sophomore Nate Thomson led BU with a sixth place showing.
Thomson and junior Daniel Booker lead Belmont in scoring as each has a 72.9 average. Booker has two top-20 finishes, while Thomson has one.
This week's Pinetree Intercollegiate hosted by Kennesaw State is a two-day, 36-hole event, with 18 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday. It will be played at Pinetree Country Club, which will play to a par 72 and a length of 7,108 yards. The field features 11 teams and includes squads from FGCU, Jacksonville State, Mercer, Western Kentucky, and Wisconsin.
