Nashville, Tenn. – The Belmont University men's soccer team is back on the pitch Tuesday in Atlanta to take on the Georgia State Panthers.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS

Head coach Brett Surrency is in his eighth season at the helm of the Georgia State program.  The Panthers have an overall record of 3-2. The squad has played two ranked opponents this season, falling to No. 11 Louisville 1-0 and beating No. 2 Wake Forest 2-1 in overtime.  Last time out, the Panthers travelled to Nashville and fell to the Lipscomb Bisons 1-0.

PLAYERS TO WATCH  

Panther junior Hannes Burmeister leads the team with two goals for two points.  Rashid Alarape and Max Hemmings have also netted a goal for the Panthers.  Alarape scored the game-winning goal against Wake Forest.

SERIES BREAKDOWN 

Belmont is 3-8-0 all-time against Georgia State. The two programs last played in 2014.  Belmont won that matchup 2-0.

Kickoff is slated for 6:00 p.m. CT.
