Men's Tennis Beats Rollins 4-3

WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Belmont men's tennis team picked up their second win of the season as they defeated Rollins College 4-3 in a match played Sunday in Winter Park, Florida.  Rollins is ranked #8 in NCAA Division II.

The Bruins won the doubles point as they captured two of the three matches.  At number two, Henrique Norbiato and Rafael Matos beat Jeff Morris and Malte Christesen 9-8, while at number three, Fernando Mussolini and Bruno Silva defeated Sebastian Hafner and Bernardo Barroso 8-6.

In singles, the Bruins won three of six matches to clinch the 4-3 victory.  Henrique Norbiato won at number three over Constantin Sturdzar in three sets 6-1, 2-6, 6-4.  At number four, Fernando Mussolini beat Ari Davis in straight sets 6-2, 6-1, while at the number six position; Bruno Silva defeated Andre Malick 6-2, 6-2.

Belmont (2-6) is back in action on Thursday as they play Embry Riddle.
