BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Belmont men's tennis player Henrique Norbiato earned All-OVC Second Team honors as announced by the conference office on Thursday night. He is the first Belmont tennis player (male or female) to earn postseason honors from the OVC.
The senior from Londrina, Brazil was tied for the team lead win singles wins with 14 and posted a 6-2 mark in conference play. He also ranked second on the team in doubles wins with nine.
This marks the second straight season that Norbiato earned All-Conference honors. He is the first Belmont men's tennis player to earn back-to-back All-Conference since Alex Gillott in 2006 and 2007.
Henrique is no stranger to earning postseason awards. Prior to his honors while playing for Belmont, he was named to the All-OVC First Team 2010 and 2011 while competing for Austin Peay.
The men's tennis team will open OVC Tournament play on Friday in Paducah, Kentucky as they play Jacksonville State in a first round match beginning at 2:00pm.
