NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont University men's track and field team will look to build on its recent success as it resumes its indoor season at the MTSU Invitational in Murfreesboro, Tenn. on Saturday.
The meet will begin at 10 a.m. Central time with the field events.
The list of entries includes fellow OVC competitors Tennessee State, Eastern Kentucky, and Austin Peay. The hosting MTSU Blue Raiders will also be competing.
The Bruins have athletes competing in seven events on Saturday.
Last weekend, the Bruins found great success at Marshall University boasting a first place finish at the Thundering Herd Invitational. Belmont was led by senior Del McSpadden's (Brentwood, Tenn.) first place finish in the weight throw. Junior Ryan Lipe (Franklin, Tenn.) was named the OVC Co-Male Field Athlete of the Week this past Wednesday after he won the Heptathlon at the Thundering Herd Invitational and his point total of 4,541 is a personal best and is the leading mark in the OVC this season.
