NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont University men's track and field team looks to build on its recent success at the Hilltopper Relays hosted by Western Kentucky this weekend.
The meet will begin Friday at 1 p.m. with the men's and women's pole vault and will conclude with the 300 meter run. Saturday, action will begin at 12 p.m. with the 4X100 meter relay.
There will be 21 schools and 584 athletes competing this weekend. Belmont will battle against fellow OVC foe Eastern Kentucky. Other notable entries include Western Kentucky and Northern Kentucky.
Last weekend the Bruins competed at the Florida Relays.
Junior Nathan Nammour (Tampa, Fla.) and Ryan Teague (Double Oak, Texas) both broke the school record in the 400 meter dash. Nammour set the new school record with a time of 47.68 which is also the conference best time.
Another school record was bested when the 4X400 meter relay team of Teague, sophomore Caleb Corprew, (Midwest City, Okla.) Nammour, and sophomore Andrew Garcia (Brentwood, Tenn.) clocked in at 3:16.04, a conference best finish.
