NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University women's basketball rising junior Darby Maggard (Larwill, Ind.) received her NCAA plaque commemorating the 2016-17 season in which she led the nation in 3-point field goal percentage.

The point guard has enjoyed two of the finest campaigns in Bruin history, helping Belmont to a 51-15 record, 25 consecutive Ohio Valley Conference victories, two OVC Championships, and consecutive bids to the NCAA Tournament.

Aside from leading the NCAA in 3-point field goal percentage (.487), Maggard also ranked second nationally in 3-point field goals per game (3.52), fourth in total 3-point field goals made (116) and fifth in assist-to-turnover ratio.

Maggard, a two-time All-OVC selection, is one of 10 Bruins returning to the OVC Champions for first-year head coach Bart Brooks.
