NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont women's tennis program announces that Suzanna Stapler has signed a National Letter of Intent and will compete for the Bruins beginning in the fall of 2014.
Stapler is a native of Alpharetta, Georgia and is currently ranked in the top-25 in Georgia by tennisrecruiting.net. She has reached the quarterfinals or higher 23 times in Southern and National level tournaments (both singles and doubles) and has been twice named to the USTA National Zonals Team. In addition, at the Georgia State Clay Championship, Stapler has placed third twice in singles and reached the quarterfinals in doubles three times.
"Suzanna is a great addition to our program," said Mark Srouji, Belmont head coach. "She has had a successful junior career and I think that success will allow her to make an immediate impact next fall."
The women's tennis team opens its 2014 spring schedule on January 25th as they play Lipscomb indoors at the Whitworth Tennis Club.
