NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Home matches with Western Kentucky and defending OVC Champion Eastern Kentucky along with trips to Tennessee and city rival Lipscomb highlight the 2014 spring schedule for Belmont's women's tennis team.
The 16 match schedule includes eight home matches eight home and eight road matches. The home slate features North Alabama, Western Kentucky, Cumberland (Tenn.), and five OVC teams (SE Missouri State, Austin Peay, Morehead State, Eastern Kentucky, and Jacksonville State.
BU hits the road for matches against Lipscomb, Tennessee, along with OVC opponents UT-Martin, Murray State, Tennessee State, SIUE, and Eastern Illinois.
"I think this schedule is perfect our young team," said Mark Srouji, Belmont head coach. "I think each match will make us better and hopefully position us for postseason success."
Belmont opens the season on Saturday, January 25th against rival Lipscomb indoors at the Whitworth Club. They will have their home opener on February 7th against North Alabama indoors at Centennial Sportsplex.
