• Volleyball Announces Spring Schedule

    NASHVILLE, Tenn.-- Belmont volleyball will get its first test of the spring when the team travels to Austin Peay on Tuesday, April 17th at 6 p.m. The team will also take part in a tournament at Western Kentucky on Saturday, April 21st, beginning at 10 a.m.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont senior Maggie Johnson picked up yet another postseason award when she was named Honorable Mention for the AVCA All-South Region team, the AVCA announced Tuesday. The senior was named the Atlantic Sun Co-Player of the Year and finished second all-time in the conference in career kills.

The senior from Naperville, Ill., was named the Atlantic Sun Co-Player of the Year after helping the Bruins earn a share of the regular season title and pick up 21 wins on the season.

It will be the fifth straight year that Belmont and Lipscomb will meet in the tournament and the second time they'll meet in the finals. Lipscomb holds a 3-2 advantage over the Bruins in tournament play.

    MACON, Ga. - - Conference honors continue this week for Belmont senior Maggie Johnson, who was voted the Scholar Athlete of the Year by conference sports information directors, the Atlantic Sun office announced on Tuesday. Johnson was also named the Co-Player of the Year in the conference and an All-Conference first team selection. The honors come a day after Johnson was named the Atlantic Sun Player of the Week for the third time this season.

Belmont improved to 7-4 at home and 18-8 overall. The Bruins are currently ranked second in the Atlantic Sun conference standings with only two matches left in the regular season.
