SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Belmont women's cross country team was featured in a televised news report by WSFY, an ABC affiliate based out of Sioux Falls, S.D. which aired on Tuesday. The team was in town for its meet at the South Dakota State Classic which took place at the same city on Oct. 4.

The news piece features statements from head coach Seth Sheridan, freshman Shannon Titus (Bowling Green, Ohio) and junior Brittany Thune (Sioux Falls, S.D.), who was returning to her home state to race.

The team finished sixth at the meet and Thune placed 12th out of 161 racers. For her efforts, Thune was named the Atlantic Sun Runner of the Week on Wednesday.

The Bruins will return to action on Oct. 18 at the Evansville Invitational in Evansville, Ind. on Oct. 18.
