NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Junior women's cross country runner Kortney Schardt (Lindenhurst, Ill.) and senior men's cross country runner Kaden Eaton (Columbus, Ind.) have been named Belmont's Student-Athletes of the Month for September.
Kortney Schardt had a great start to her cross country season. At the Belmont Opener meet on August 31, she won the individual title with a time of 18:19.08. Her finish helped lead the Bruins to the team title. It's the third time in the last two seasons that she has paced the Bruins.
Kaden had a successful start to his cross country season. The senior finished third at the Belmont Opener on August 31st as he helped his squad win the team title. His third place showing was a career best for the senior from Columbus, Indiana.
