NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Junior women's basketball player Paris Lawson (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) and freshman men's basketball player Nick Muszynski (Pickerington, Ohio) have been named Trane Belmont Student-Athletes of the Month for December.
Lawson is one of the most inspiring student-athletes here at Belmont. Even though the Murfreesboro, Tennessee native has endured three season-ending injuries during her Belmont basketball career, she has maintained a positive attitude and strong work ethic in her rehab, on the practice court, and in the classroom. In addition, she has been become one of the faces of Belmont Athletics with her work as host of This Week in Belmont Athletics and as a sideline reporter on ESPN Plus.
Muszynski has had a great start to his Belmont basketball career. During the first month of the season, the Pickerington, Ohio native has started all nine games and averages 14.9 points and 6.9 rebounds a game. He has scored in double figures in seven of nine games and has been named OVC Freshman of the Week twice.
