NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Sophomore Payton Barlow (White House, Tenn.) and freshman Nick Muszynski (Pickerington, Ohio) have been named Trane Belmont Student-Athletes of the Month for March.
Barlow saw lots of success during the last month. She earned four top-five finishes, including two runner-up finishes in three meets. At the OVC Indoor Championships, she finished fourth in the 400 meters and in the process broke a 13 year old school record, and was a member of the 4x400 relay team that placed second.
Muszynski was key cog in the men's basketball team' run to the OVC regular season title. During the month of February, he scored in double figures in nine games, including 27 points versus SE Missouri, and was named OVC Freshman of the Week twice. He currently ranks third on the team in scoring at 14.9 points per game. For all of his efforts this season, Nick was named to the All-OVC First Team and All-Newcomer Team as well as earning OVC Freshman of the Year honors.
