NASHVILLE, Tenn. –Senior softball player Baylee Cook (Lewisburg, Tenn.) and senior men's golfer Noah Trenkler (Hendersonville, Tenn.) have been named Trane Belmont Student-Athletes of the Month for May.
Cook finished her Belmont career as one of the softball team's top offensive players. She led the team in six different statistical categories: batting average (.402), hits (70), runs (45), triples (4), total bases (99), and slugging percentage (.569). For her efforts, she was named to the All-OVC Second Team.
Trenkler finished out his Belmont career in style. He finished second at the OVC Championship, carding a six under 66 in the final round and was named to the All-Tournament Team. For the season, he ranked third on the team in scoring and had four top-10 finishes. He finishes his career ranked eighth on Belmont's career scoring average list at 74.5.
