Joi Jones enters her second season as a Graduate Assistant for Belmont Women’s Basketball
Jones played basketball at Appalachian State where she graduated with a degree in exercise science and a minor in health promotion in 2017. A two-time team captain, Jones scored 1,000 points in her career as a guard with the Mountaineers and was selected honorable mention All-Sun Belt.
Her primary responsibilities with the Belmont women's basketball program include organizing team travel, coordinating videos, overseeing managers, facilitating practice and camps, arranging on-campus recruiting visits, assisting with opponent scouting and creation of digital content. She is a recent "So You Want to Be a Coach Program” participant, one of four alumni invited back to speak at the 2018 WBCA Convention.
Jones is pursuing a master's degree in sport administration at Belmont and aspires to be a college basketball coach.
