Joining the Bruins squad in the fall of 2018, Kassie Powell rounds out the Bruins’ coaching staff as a graduate assistant coach, focusing on the jumps, sprints and multi events.
Powell comes to Belmont as a previous athlete (2011-2015), volunteer assistant (2015-2016) and graduate assistant (2017-2018) of Michigan State University, where she was a three time NCAA Prelims qualifier in the pole vault.
Powell was instrumental in helping the Spartans win their second Big Ten Track and Field Championship in program history.
The Durand, Michigan native was Academic All-Big Ten in 2013 and 2015 and graduated from Michigan State with an undergraduate degree in Human Development. She will be pursuing a Masters degree in Mental Health, Counseling during her time at Belmont University.
