Why did you choose Belmont?

After visiting Belmont, I fell in love with the people. I knew it could be a place that would push me not only athletically and academically but spiritually as well. Looking back on the past three years, all of my expectations were exceeded and because of Belmont I have transformed in ways that I didn’t even know were possible. I am so thankful for the opportunities that Belmont has provided and all the people that have impacted my life along the way.

What do you want to do when you grow up?

I want to pursue a career in marketing while giving back to the community. After going on two mission trips to Brazil, I have found a passion for helping others. Basketball and Belmont have provided me with a unique platform to reach others, and I plan on using that even after I graduate.

What is your ritual before a game/meet/match?

I do not have a specific pregame ritual. However, the one thing that is a must is listening to Booty Wurk while Maddie and Paris dance.

Who is your favorite athlete and why?

My favorite athlete is Serena Williams because she is not only incredible at her sport but also is a respectable person. She hasn’t had an easy career and has received some criticism along the way but has stayed true to herself. I am inspired by her determination and her willingness to give everything she has for the sport she loves.

If you didn’t play your sport, what sport would you play & why?

If I didn’t play basketball I would play volleyball. I played volleyball in high school so am no stranger to the game and really enjoyed the excitement of it. I love that it is a fast paced game and the concept that every position is a point. In addition, I love how it still embraces a team atmosphere and displays a lot of passion.

What are you watching on Netflix now?

I am currently watching The Blacklist. It is a crime show and SO good. I would highly recommend it to those looking for a new series.

What is your favorite quote?

“We love because He first loved us.”

1 John 4:19
