NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Belmont University freshman setter Jordan Czajkowski has been named the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Freshman of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
The New Berlin, Wisconsin, native earns the honor following a standout weekend as the Bruins transitioned to a 5–1 system. Czajkowski totaled 72 assists across two matches, including a career-high 47 assists in Belmont's sweep over Valparaiso on Nov. 7 — 27 more than any other player in the match — and 25 assists and 11 digs in the five-set victory over Southern Illinois, averaging 10.29 assists per set while guiding Belmont to a 2–0 weekend.
Czajkowski leads the Bruins this season with 552 assists, averaging 5.94 assists per set, and has played a key role in guiding Belmont's offense during the team's current two-match win streak. She also adds 189 digs defensively and recorded a career-high 17 digs at Valparaiso on Oct. 17.
A graduate of Divine Savior Holy Angels High School, Czajkowski helped her team capture three consecutive WIAA Division I State Championships (2022, 2023, 2024). She was a three-time All-State selection, earned AVCA Honorable Mention All-America honors as a senior, and was named to the AVCA All-Region Team in 2024.
Czajkowski's recognition marks Belmont Volleyball's first MVC weekly award of the season.
Czajkowski and the Bruins return to action on Thursday, Nov. 13, when they travel to face Murray State at 6 p.m. CT inside Racer Arena in Murray, Kentucky. The match will stream live on ESPN+, with live stats available at BelmontBruins.com.
