NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Belmont University baseball will be back in action this weekend for a three-game series against Bowling Green March 1-3. First pitch for the series is slated for 4:00 p.m. CT on Friday.
Belmont leads the all-time series with Bowling Green 3-2 with all matchups coming under the direction of Head Coach Dave Jarvis. The teams last met early in 2017 during the Mule Mix Classic. Belmont won that matchup 7-5.
LAST TIME OUT
Belmont played last in a Wednesday mid-week matchup against Southern Illinois. Belmont fell 13-9, but sophomore Jackson Campbell (Russellville, Ky.) had an impressive day, ripping two long balls and throwing three runners out from behind the plate.
Senior Casey Queener (Brentwood, Tenn.) earned OVC Pitcher of the Week honors this past week after leading the team to its first win of the season last weekend. He threw seven scoreless innings, scattering four hits and walking just one.
Jackson Campbell cranked out two homers in Wednesday's midweek game against SIU. His solo shot in the fourth and two-run long ball in the eighth marked Belmont's first and second home runs of the season.
Senior Zach Ehrhart (Mt. Juliet, Tenn.) has been a bright spot for the Bruins at the plate. Ehrhart has notched a hit in all but one game with three multi-hit games. In addition, he has reached base in every game and leads the team with 11 hits and eight RBI.
