On the Cusp of History

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Former Belmont University men's basketball All-American Ian Clark ('13) is quietly making timely contributions for the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors.

Wednesday night, Clark provided a huge lift off the bench as the Warriors outlasted Utah, 103-96, in overtime.

Clark played nine minutes in the fourth quarter, with his five points midway through the frame getting Golden State back within 82-80.

The Warriors (68-7) are within striking distance of the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls' record of 72-10, which stands as the best regular season mark in NBA history.

Golden State must win five of its final seven games to eclipse the Bulls' standard.

On the season, Clark has played in 61 games, averaging 3.9 points per game.
