CASHIERS, N.C. – The Belmont men's golf team is tied for seventh place after day one of the Hummingbird Intercollegiate held Monday at The Country Club of Sapphire Valley in Cashiers, North Carolina.
The Bruins posted rounds of 288 and 280 on Monday to finish the day tied for seventh place with Austin Peay at 568. Georgia Southern has the team lead at 550, while Wofford is second at 559.
Two Belmont golfers are among the top-20 after 36 holes. Sophomore Jack Uselton carded the low rounds of the day for BU. The Tullahoma, Tennessee native shot 71-66 to finish in a tie for eighth place at 137. He is two shots behind the leaders, Etienne Brault of Chattanooga and Erik Lindwall of Eastern Kentucky.
Senior Daniel Booker is tied for 17th place after posting rounds of 71 and 70 for a two-round total of 141,
The third and final round begins Tuesday morning at 8:30am ET. Belmont will tee off hole #1 from 8:30-9:06am ET.
