NASHVILLE, Tenn.-The Belmont Men's Tennis team is gearing up for a full weekend of play against Grand Canyon, Chattanooga and Vanderbilt.
The matches come after the doubles team of Hendrik Inno and Marko Ilic became the first Bruins in history to be ranked to the Oracle/ITA Division I Doubles rankings. Inno and Ilic are ranked No. 32 out of the top 60 doubles teams in the country. For the season, the Bruins are 4-3 after losing to Furman last Saturday.
Up first for the Bruins is a home match against Grand Canyon. The Antelopes are 3-1 for the season with wins against Florida Gulf Coast and Sacramento State University. Play is set for 4 p.m. CT on Friday.
On Saturday, Belmont will take a trip to Chattanooga where they will face the Mocs. First serve is set for 12 noon CT in the Scenic City.
Finally, on Sunday, the Bruins face Vanderbilt in a crosstown match. The Commodores are 4-1 on the season with big wins against Northwestern, Drake and Penn State. First serve is set for 4:00 p.m. at Vanderbilt's Currey Tennis Center.
