NASHVILLE, Tenn - Belmont was led by the McLeod brothers, who finished inside the top 25 and boost the Bruins to a top ten finish in the Commodore Classic this morning at Percy Warner Park.

  4. Ole Miss - 128 points 

  5. Missouri - 136 points 

  6. BELMONT - 140 points 

  7. Ohio State - 148 points 

  8. Lipscomb - 207 points

  10. Vanderbilt - 290 points 

Sophomore Jacob McLeod led the Bruins pace with a top 15 finish, his brother senior Kaleb McLeod finishes 23rd overall. Junior Ben Naeger was right behind Kaleb, Naeger finished 26th in the race. Also scoring for Belmont was sophomore Taylor Vroon and senior Ben Weisel who both finished top 50 overall. 

The field was stacked, Ole Miss was slotted at first during the NCAA South preseason polls. Followed by Middle Tennessee State (4th), Belmont (7th), Georgia (13th), Vanderbilt (14th) and Lipscomb (15th). 

"We knew a lot of good teams were going to be here." Started sophomore Taylor Vroon. "We tried to just have a good solid race. Personally, and as a team we did some things really well. I am excited for the next two weeks of training."  

During the race Jacob McLeod's chip in his penny didn't regester when he finished. The Bruins were unofficially 7th, but after reviewing the results the team was moved up to 6th due to the corrected result.
