NASHVILLE, Tenn. – On heels of recording her 13th double-double of the season, senior Haley Nelson (Scottsboro, Ala.) was named the Atlantic Sun Women's Basketball Player of the Week by CollegeSportsMadness.com. It is the third time this season she has received the honor from the website.

Against USC Upstate, the Scottsboro, Ala., native netted a game-high 17 points on 60 percent shooting from the floor. She also went 5-for-7 at the charity stripe, pulled down seven rebounds and had two blocks. Two days later against ETSU, Nelson notched her 13th double-double of the season with 15 points and 16 rebounds en route to helping the Bruins sweep their in-state rival for the first time since the 2005-06 campaign.
For the week, Nelson averaged 16 points and 11.5 rebounds. She also finished with three steals, three blocks, and two assists during the span.
