The Belmont women's basketball team used a strong second half performance to pick up its second win of the season over Morehead State last Monday night at the Curb Event Center.  The Bruins outscored the Eagles, 30-14, in the second half en route to their 59-45 victory.  The win improves BU to 9-3 in the OVC and puts the team back in first place in the East Division.  Four Bruins reached double digits in scoring, led by sophomore Adrienne Tarrence (Bowling Green, Ky.), who netted a career-high 15 points.  Senior Alyssa Visbeen (Franklin, Tenn.), junior Molly Ernst (Louisville, Ky.), and senior Katie Brooks (Maryville, Tenn.) rounded out the double digit scorers with, 13, 12, and 11 points, respectively.  Senior Jordan Coleman (Orlando, Fla.) pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds and narrowly missed a double-double with eight points.  She also matched her career-high of seven rebounds.  Redshirt freshman Blair Bryce (Red Oak, Texas) matched her career-high of three blocks.

Brooks and Coleman lead the Bruins in scoring, netting 10.0 points per game each.  Visbeen follows, adding 9.2 points per outing.  Coleman, the reigning OVC Newcomer of the Week, leads the team in rebounding, pulling down 10.1 per contest, to stand as one of only two players averaging a double-double in the OVC.  Junior Julianne Downs (Franklin, Tenn.) shoots over 64 percent from the floor and behind the three-point arc to lead BU in both categories.  Coleman and Bryce lead BU in blocks, tallying 23 and 17 swats, respectively.

Monday night's matchup with Lipscomb is slated to tip-off at 6 p.m. CT and is designated Belmont's annual Pack the House game.  The contest can be seen on the OVC Digital Network and heard live via the internet on the Bruins Sports Network.  Live stats, video and a Twitter feed (@BelmontWBB) will also be available.
