NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University women's basketball senior and 2019 All-America candidate Darby Maggard (Larwill, Ind.) is the subject of a Belmont All-Access feature video.
Maggard, the NCAA active career leader in 3-point field goal percentage (.439) and free throw percentage (.922), recently went undercover, hitting the streets of Nashville as freelance reporter Marcy Daggard. The point guard engaged tourists in Nashville's 12 South District, spotlighting Belmont's championship pedigree and tradition of sustained excellence.
The Larwill, Indiana native was a 2018 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award finalist, 2018 OVC Tournament Most Valuable Player, and has scored 1,469 career points in leading Belmont to three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and national Top 25 ranking.
The Bruins went 31-4 last season as head coach Bart Brooks earned the WBCA Maggie Dixon Coach of the Year Award.
Belmont produced a similar video spotlighting men's basketball 2019 All-America candidate Dylan Windler (Indianapolis, Ind.), who toured Nashville undercover as Willie Dindler.
