NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – The Belmont women's golf team is tied for seventh place after day one of the MAC Fall Preview held Sunday at Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville, Indiana.
On a cold, damp fall day in Central Indiana, the Bruins posted their two lowest team scores of the young season. They carded rounds of 303 and 302 for a 36-hole total of 605, good for a tie for seventh place with Ohio. Toledo has the team lead at 574, while Xavier is second at 575.
Two Bruins are in the top-25 after day one. Sophomore Maribeth Peevy shot rounds of 75 and 73 to finish the day tied for 17th place at 148. Freshman Cameron Fish is two shots back of Peevy and in a tie for 21st place at 150. She carded two rounds of 75 on Sunday.
Other Belmont scores from day one included: freshman Katelyn Dunstan (T-40, 154) and senior Emma Kate Liu (T-44, 155). Junior Carlee Nanney shot a 76 in round one, but withdrew from the second round due to injury.
Natcha Daengpiem of Toledo is the individual leader at 137.
