Tenth Place Start at EKU

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Belmont women's golf team is in 10th place after day one of the EKU Colonel Classic held Friday at Arlington Golf Club in Richmond, Kentucky.

The Bruins shot rounds of 311 and 312 on Friday to finish the day in 10th place at 623.  Host Eastern Kentucky has the team lead at 584, while Northern Illinois is second at 588.

Belmont is being led by a pair of freshman, Katelyn Dunstan and Cameron Fish.  Both are tied for 30th place at 153.  Each carded rounds of 76 and 77 on day one. 

Other Belmont scores from Friday's round included: sophomore Maribeth Peevy (T-54, 158), junior Carle eNanney (T-56, 159), and junior Julia Nittoli (T-73, 165). 

Josephine Chang of Kentucky has the individual lead as she has a 36-hole score of 140.
