Third Place Start

MOREHEAD, Ky. – The Belmont women's golf stands in third place after 36 holes of the Morehead State/Greenbrier Invitational held this week at the Greenbrier Country Club in Lexington, Kentucky.

Belmont carded rounds of 309 and 306 on Monday to finish the day in third place with a team score of 615.  They are nine shots behind first place Lipscomb (606) and one shot back of second place Austin Peay (614).

Three Bruins are among the top-20 after two rounds of play.  Senior Julia Nittoli shot rounds of 74 and 72 on Monday to finish the day in third place at 146.  She is two shots behind the leader, Emily Keeling of Lipscomb. 

Sophomore Katelyn Dunstan is in a tie for 13th place at 155 after posting rounds of 77 and 78.  Fellow sophomore Cameron Fish is one shot back of Dunstan and in 20th place at 156.

Other Belmont scores from day one included: junior Ann Catherine Blackburn (25th, 159) and senior Carlee Nanney (42nd, 168).

The third and final round will begin Tuesday morning at 8:15am CT.
