Seventh Place Finish at Austin Peay

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont women's golf team finished in seventh place at this week's APSU Intercollegiate held at Clarksville Country Club in Clarksville. 

On another hot day in Clarksville, Belmont carded a final round team score of 320 to finish in seventh place with a 54-hole mark of 962.  IUPUI won the team title with a score of 900, while host Austin Peay finished second at 909. 

Two Bruins finished among the top-30 at the tournament.  Sophomore Katelyn Dunstan posted a final round 79 to finish in a tie for 16th place at 235.  It was her second top-20 finish of the season.  Fellow sophomore Cameron Fish finished in a tie for 28th place at 246 after shooing an 80 in the final round. 

Other Belmont scores from the event included: senior Julia Nittoli (T-31, 247), senior Carlee Nanney (T-33, 248), and junior Ann Catherine Blackburn (T-37, 250).

Two BU golfers competed as individuals.  Junior Maribeth Peevy tied for 28th place at 246, while freshman Lily Gulley placed 36th with a mark of 249.

IUPUI's Marion Debove won medalist honors with a 216 score.

The women's golf team has a couple weeks off before returning to action on October 14-15 at the Lady Wolves Classic in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
