Softball Plans First Ever Youth Day for Saturday's Game Against FGCU

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont softball will host its first ever Youth Day on Saturday, April 7th, as part of an Atlantic Sun doubleheader against Florida Gulf Coast. Activities for Youth Day will be held in conjunction with the 4 p.m. game, but youth of all ages are encouraged to come out for both the 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. games on Saturday.

Youths are encouraged to wear their team jersey or uniform to the game and will have the opportunity to interact with the Bruins prior to the contest by taking the field with the team for the national anthem. The first 25 kids to arrive at the park will receive autographed softball posters and be invited to join the team on the field. Youth in attendance will also receive a discounted rate for the upcoming Belmont Softball Youth Camp this summer. Kids can also take part in a poster contest by creating and bringing a poster supporting the Bruins to the game on Saturday. A prize will be awarded for the best poster. Poster materials will not be available on site. Admission is free for all.

Coaches or sponsors of youth teams looking to bring the whole team to the park on Saturday should contact Jessica McIntyre, the Belmont Marketing representative, at jessica.mcintyre@pop.belmont.edu about group/team specials available for the event.
