NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont women's track and field team hits the track for its first major test of the outdoor season when it travels to compete at the Alabama Relays this weekend.
The Bruins will face off against competitors representing 33 schools including, host-Alabama , Alabama A&M, Alabama-Birmingham, Alabama State, Allen County (Kan.) Community College, Arkansas State (M & W), Barton County (Kan.) Community College, Belhaven, Chattanooga, Cloud County (Kan.) Community College, Georgia Tech, Jackson State, Lewis, Lipscomb, Louisville, McKendree, Meridian (Miss.) Community College, Middle Tennessee State, Mississippi State, Mississippi, Mississippi Valley State, Samford, Southeastern Louisiana, Shorter, Southern Mississippi, Stephen F. Austin State, Tennessee, Troy and West Alabama as well as OVC foes Murray State, Southeast Missouri State and Tennessee State.
The three-day meet gets underway at the Sam Bailey Track & Field Stadium with throwing events on Thursday afternoon and resumes Friday evening. The meet begins its final sets of events on Saturday afternoon. Additional meet information can be found here.
