TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The Belmont women's track and field team continued to turn in strong marks on the second day of the Alabama Relays.
Highlights from the track included junior Hannah Wittman (Lindenhurst, Ill.) taking fifth in 5000m (16:53.36) in a field of nearly 90 competitors.
Freshman Jess King (Fishers, Ind.) notched a PR in 1500m to take eighth overall (4:35.94), battling more than 60 competitors.
"Day two gave us some great performances," said Belmont's Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Jeff Langdon. "We saw some of our top athletes get some big marks, and we always get great competition at this meet. Tomorrow is a big day and we're looking forward to it."
