NASHVILLE, Tenn. – After a break for the Easter holiday, the Belmont women's track and field team will be back in action this weekend. All but one Bruin will make the short drive to crosstown rival Tennessee State for the annual Boston-Moon Classic, while one heads into fierce competition at the Tennessee Relays powered by Sea Ray.
At the Boston-Moon Classic, the Bruins will face off against athletes from Alabama A&M, Fisk, Lane College, Lipscomb, Middle Tennessee State, Tennessee Temple as well as OVC foes Jacksonville State, Tennessee Tech and host-Tennessee State.
Traveling to Knoxville will be senior Michelle Wicker (Coronado, Calif.), who will be competing in the Heptathlon, in preparation for the OVC Outdoor Championship next month. She will take on athletes from host-Tennessee, Bowling Green, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan, Louisville, Middle Tennessee State, Northern Kentucky, South Florida, Tiffin, UAB, Western Michigan and OVC foes Murray State and Southeast Missouri State.
The Boston-Moon Classic begins Friday evening with throwing events and resumes Saturday morning at 9 a.m. The Tennessee Relays powered by Sea Ray are set to begin on Thursday afternoon and continue through Saturday.
